The Polar Bear Jump held for the Blakely's was a great success. The Peppercorn Apt's in Westminster
hosted the event, donating time at their swimming pool and event center. The weather stayed around 50 to 60
degrees so it was quite cold for those taking dives into the pool. To help keep people warm a hot tub was
available. Warm food was also available to keep people going. A DJ was onsite providing music all day as
well as announcing names of those taking a cold dive. Door prizes were also given away at the event. Some
Lucky people went home with prizes such as a portable CD player and various CD's. In the end the success of
the event was recognized as a donation of 3 months of rent for the Blakely's provided by the Peppercorn
Apartments. Zacs Legacy Foundation committed to match that donation for a total of 6 months of rent assistance.
